After a lot of long and hard thinking, I’ve decided to take a very extended pause from therapies to spend more time with my family.
This means that my last day in work will be Saturday 2nd of September 2017.
It’s an announcement I never thought I’d be making when I first began my foray into holistic therapy studies in 2010 and opened for business back in 2013. But it feels like the right thing for right now.
I love what I do; helping others and connecting with all the wonderful people I have met over the last 4 years of zenmindbody has been a dream. As an advocate of balance and holistic health however, I have found my own equilibrium gradually slipping away.
“To believe in something, and not to live it, is dishonest.”
I don’t think anything could have quite prepared me for the joyful yet equally exhausting reality of having a family! So I’m following my own advice and taking some time to fully recharge my own batteries and be present for my son and husband.
“You are what you do, not what you say you’ll do.”
I still remember having the idea of zenmindbody and wondering whether it would even be possible. I feel incredibly lucky to have had an abundance of help and support from so many people to make zenmindbody a reality. Teachers, course colleagues, friends and family have all played a role in the creation and existence of zmb and they probably by now add up to a total of more than a hundred.
“Live the Life of Your Dreams.
When you start living the life of your dreams, there will always be obstacles, doubters, mistakes and setbacks along the way. But with hard work, perseverance and self-belief there is no limit to what you can achieve.”
“Write it. Shoot it. Publish it. Crochet it, sauté it, whatever. MAKE.”
Without these individuals, who have been hugely generous with their time and skills, zmb would undoubtedly never have happened. So I’d like to send out a gargantuan thank you with eternal gratitude to all of you.
I’ll still be keeping my site, albeit in a slightly different format, so that when I’ve had a bit of a rest, I can return to blogging when time allows. And of course, the site remains so that when the right moment arrives, I can return to therapies once more!
A final thank you to you if you’re reading this and have been a client at zenmindbody. Whether I’ve known you for four years or met you last week, it’s been an absolute pleasure meeting and working with you. Thank you for your loyalty and your custom.
Whilst I shall miss you, I hope that I’ve helped you in some way along your road to relaxation, health and wellbeing. And I hope to meet you again one day!
I’ll leave you with this little bit of inspiration:
Don’t just learn, experience.
Don’t just read, absorb.
Don’t just change, transform.
Don’t just relate, advocate.
Don’t just promise, prove.
Don’t just criticize, encourage.
Don’t just think, ponder.
Don’t just take, give.
Don’t just see, feel.
Don’t just dream, do.
Don’t just hear, listen.
Don’t just talk, act.
Don’t just tell, show.
Don’t just exist, live.”
