Overcoming Limiting Beliefs

“Don’t believe what your eyes are telling you. All they show is limitation. Look with your understanding. Find out what you already know and you will see the way to fly.” ~ Richard Bach: Jonathan Livingston Seagull Often, it’s so easy to hold ourselves back in life because of all the reasons we see why we ‘shouldn’t’ do something. Our…

The Collective Power Of Humanity

I just had to share this amazing snapshot of what humans are capable of achieving when we work together. The world can be an ugly place sometimes but we hear more about that than about the truly wonderful, caring people who exist in it. There are lots of them, we just don’t expect to read about the good things they…

Inspiring Words For A Winter’s Day

“Just because you can’t see a way out, that doesn’t mean there isn’t one. And finding one—or creating one—starts with believing it’s possible. Muster just a shred of belief. That’s all you need to take, one tiny step, and one tiny step is the beginning of getting unstuck.” I recently read an uplifting and encouraging interview with Tiny Buddha’s Lori…

Getting Your Vision On

After reading my latest copy of the FHT magazine, I’ve been reminded once more of the concept of vision boards. So I’ve decided to (finally!) get around to creating one. Whether you want to instigate change in your life, create some inspiration, motivate yourself to stay on track or firm up ideas about some of your goals, vision boards are…

God gave us the gift of life; it is up to us to give ourselves the gift of living well. – Voltaire

Whatever your beliefs may be, this struck a chord with me.  How often do we allow ourselves to live well? Are you pushing yourself to do more than you should?  I know I’m in a period of life where I am!

Today I stopped and thought: I need to do some yoga.  My body needs to stretch, my mind needs a break.  I’ve neglected my practice for far too long so I’m just going to do some.  Yes I, like many others, have what feels like a billion things I need to do.  But I’m reassessing my priorities (which I frequently do – it’s so easy for them to slip!) and making this one of them.

If you asked yourself and answered honestly, are you looking after yourself and your health?  Life can be busy and habits hard to break but if you feel like you’re simply existing on a day to day basis, take a pause. If you need a nap, take one.  Going to bed too late?  Go earlier for one night.  Need a massage?  Book one.  Been meaning to paint?  Grab that paint brush! What one thing can you do for yourself today to allow yourself to live well?

However far removed it may feel, you really are the one in the driving seat.  Grab the wheel and take control.  A small change is still a change.  Nurture yourself.  Happy living!
